From ballrooms to boardrooms, and other lessons.

I’m “The Traffic Guy”– it’s what I do. I align resources, talent, and timing to ensure each project exceeds our clients’ expectations. Working for a group of 20 advertising professionals is one thing, but doing it for a group of over 850 performers, volunteers, and guests . . . whew! This spring it was my honor to serve as one of the Executive Producers for the Imperial Court of New York’s annual charity ball. After almost a year of committee meetings, vendor meetings, volunteer meetings (wow, that’s a lot of meetings) we put on one heck of a show.

Glitz, glamour, and rhinestones galore . . . yes, I’m talking about the 29th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns. This is one of the biggest and brightest black tie charity events for the LGBT community here in the northeast. This April we raised awareness, we raised funds, and raised our tiaras and crowns for two very worthy organizations–the LGBT Community Center and the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force. With performers, celebrities, and politicians, we welcomed our guests to a star-studded night of dinner and music. Our big night was a huge success.

It’s often said, “do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life”. Well, that night my two worlds united with the very best of results. With enough planning, hard work, and tons of support–you really can “do it all”.
